 This is a very unique entry in the series indeed being equal parts softcore porn, jungle adventure and gross out horror. The story is paced well enough with the action really exploding in the last half hour. There is enough T&A and sex scenes interspersed thoughout to keep it interesting as well as many very sickening gore scenes that will keep gorehounds happy. The story is simple: Sexy reporter(Laura Gemser), after an encounter with a female cannibal in a mental hospital, journeys to South America to find proof of cannibalistic tribal practices. She hooks up with an anthropologist and a big game hunter and his wife along the way. Many meet gruesome fates before the end credits roll-but I wont spoil the film for prospective buyers. All in all, a very enjoyable film and far superior to other cannibal films that I have seen such as Cannibal Ferox and Slave Of The Cannibal God. Now if only shriek show would hurry and release an uncut version of D'Amatos's Anthrophagus (aka The Grim Reaper). In closing, if you are looking for nail biting suspense and oscar caliber performances you might want to look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a true Euro sleaze and trash fest with liberal doses of gratuitous sex and excessive violence you could do a lot worse than picking up this dvd!!
